Clearasil : Rapid Action Gel Wash & Pimple Cream || Review

Hi dears!!

Today I'll be sharing with you a review of my holy grail item for fighting pimples & a new face wash which I've been trying out for just over a week now. It is from the only western brand which I use as part of my skincare.

Clearasil! I'm sure most of you have heard of the brand before. I've actually been using clearasil products since I was around 12yrs old, before I started exploring the wide world of asian brands and makeup, because mum decided that I need to actually start cleaning my face with more than just water (╹っ╹๑).

Clearasil : Rapid Action gel Wash & Pimple Cream

Brand : Clearasil

Both these products are part of their Clearasil Ultra line, which is a line designed to clear pimples faster.
"Whether you're looking for a Face Wash or Pimple Cream, our products have you covered. Clearasil Ultra products are scientifically formulated with pimple fighting ingredients to fight blemishes & breakouts. With Clearasil Ultra you can have visibly clearer skin fast."

If you're not too sure which product would suit you or which line you should be purchasing from, Clearasil have a skin care guide which can help you find out which products are most suited for you. You can check out the guide here; Clearasil Skin Care Guide

So without further ado, here are my reviews!

Clearasil : Rapid Action Pimple Cream
Pimple Cream
Visibly reduces pimple size & redness in as little as 4 hours.

Directions : Wash face and apply a thin layer directly onto spots and allow to dry. Wash hands after use.
My Review : This pimple cream is my holy grail item when it comes to fighting pimples. It's the only pimple clearing cream I have ever used and I've always repurchased it as I find it really works for me and I love it.
Coincidently I actually lent my cream to one of my friends, Li Ling, a few days before the ball to try out, because she was using an asian brand cream which she said worked so-so. I saw her about 5 days later and she told me it really worked for her, it helped to clear her skin a little bit and she just went to buy herself a tube of the cream!
The cream is quite lightweight and a trick I do, is if my pimple is not to big, I'll mix the cream with a little moisturiser so it isn't too strong for my skin. It doesn't dry out my skin, like I've heard other creams do, but it does what it's suppose to do and that's making pimples disappear!

Clearasil : Rapid Action Gel Wash
Face Wash
Oil free gel wash for visibly clearer skin in as little as 12 hours.

Directions : Wet Face. Dispense product into hands and massage gently onto face avoiding the delicate eye area. Rinse throughly with warm water.
My Review : Before this, I haven't tried this wash before, as I've been using other face washes, but I've ditched my usual cleansers and trialled it for over a week and here's my review on it. I used this face cleanser to throughly cleanse my face after my school ball (my face had so much primer!) and at first, I was worried that I might have a breakout from all the makeup, but the cleanser managed to keep my face clear and smooth. At first it kept my skin fairly clear, but then after 5 days, I started to get some small pimples. I'm not too sure whether it was caused by stress or the product, but thankfully I had the pimple cream. I think this cleanser is fairly good as it does what it's suppose to do, but maybe it doesn't quite suit my skin type. My favourite Clearasil cleanser is still one of their other washes.

*this review is 100% of my own honest opinion*

If you're interested in trying out any of these Clearasil products and you live in Australia, I know that you can buy them from nearly any store that has a health & beauty section. You can check out about the two products here : Rapid Action Gel Wash || Rapid Action Pimple Cream

I'll be blogging about my ball/prom really soon!

  1. I'm using the pimple treatment from 'The Face Shop' and it works perfectly! It's amazing! If you search for a new pimple treatment, which contains natural ingredients, then this will make you happy c:
    Nice review~

    1. Oh! I didn't know that Face Shop had a pimple treatment specific product!
haha I might try it out if I find it while I'm over seas, thank you for letting me know Jenny. :D
But try out this pimple cream if you're looking for a western brand. I find it's quite effective and it doesn't dry out my skin XD

  2. I wonder if it is too drying, I tend to get patchy skin after using acne products =( very sad.

    1. Try it out Celly! from my experience, it doesn't try out my skin at all. But if you're worry about it drying out your skin, I suggest mixing the cream with a little bit of moisturiser (either the same amount or a little less) then applying it.

  3. Ooh I think we're opposites haha. The pimple cream was quite mild for me, but I love the gel wash!
