Japan Candy Box : June Edition || Review

Hi sweeties!

Today I'll be sharing with you guy my quick review on some yummy Japanese candy I got in the Japan Candy Box!
haha I originally planned to do a video, but it looked kinda messy, so it got scrapped...

Stay in touch! I'll have a giveaway soon, where you can win next months Japan Candy Box for yourself~

"Japan Candy Box is the sweetest monthly Japanese candy subscription box. Subscribe Now and receive a box filled with 8-10 hand-picked quirky candies and snacks from Japan, delivered directly to your home every month."
Each box is shipped at the end of each month and the shipping is always free! They have a few different plans available and you can cancel anytime~
So why not try out a box for yourself? :D

Kabaya : Fish Gummies
"Kabaya Fish Gummies actually show & teach how a fish grows up from the egg to an adult!"
haha omg I wished I had read this sooner! When I was looking at these gummies I was trying to figure out what shape there were suppose to be ^^ I got the fish and the egg right, but I was clueless for the pregnant fish lol  ( ̄▽ ̄)
These gummies are small, chewy and yummy~ They have a normal gummy texture, but I think in the centre of each one, the gummys' texture becomes more smooth~
Each stage of the fish has a slightly different flavour. The fish has a light citrus taste while the pregnant fish tastes a little like peach.

Lotte : Koala Bear March Biscuits
"Lotte’s Koala March biscuits are very popular all over Asia. Enjoy the crunchy biscuit shell filled with lip-smacking chocolate filling while looking at each little koala’s cute activities."
These totally remind me of Hello Panda biscuits! Has anyone else tried them before? They use to be my favourite
These Koala March biscuits have a semi chocolate & hollow inside, which is yummy as it cuts the plainness of the biscuit. In my opinion, these aren't as good as Hello Panda, but they are still nice to munch on.

Pokemon Pikachu Pretzels
"These tasty and crunchy Pokemon biscuit sticks are covered in a layer of white cream and sprinkled with crunchy biscuit crumbles which combined together make a truly delicious snack."
Who doesn't love Pokemon?! haha before even tasting these "pretzels", the first thing I thought was that these were cookie & cream or oreo flavoured pocky! I was close!
I can see why they named this biscuit a "pretzel", because the texture and taste of the biscuit is basically a pretzel, but the layer of sweetness really reminded me of the Pepero Cookies & Cream flavour, except it was smooth, not crunchy.

Meiji : Petit Bubblegum
"Meiji Petit Bubblegum box includes many small bubble gum pellets. The pieces are small, but by taking several pieces you can make large bubbles!"
Grape flavour - mini sized gum! ・゚: *・゚:* \(◕‿◕✿)/ *:・゚*:・゚✧ I loved this gum! It tasted really yummy and I managed to blow bubbles with it! haha the gum its self is very "petit", so I had to each at least 5 at once to get a decent amount~ The packaging is a bonus! It opens at the side and is basically an in-build dispenser/container (how do you even describe this?!) styled packaging!

Puccho : Mixed Fruit Chewy Candy
"Puccho fruit and yoghurt candies include delicious gummy pieces and real fruit juice. The secret to success of Puccho is that each soft and milky candy piece is embedded with chewy fruit gummy bits."
To be honest I had no idea what to expect from this candy (haha again, I forgot to read the info before eating...but seriously...it's like expecting me to remember to take photos before i eat! "OOPS SORRY! I forgot! I took a bite, but you can still take a photo if u want?"hahaha). But this was actually quite yummy!! It didn't really have any yoghurt taste, but instead tasted similar to milk candy, and in the centre of the candy was all the little fruit drops, which added the fruity taste to it! :D

Meiji : Kotsubu Chocolates
"Meiji Kotsubu Chocolates packs are small and handy to keep with you."
Chocolate ♥ hehe this is literally little-smaller-than-bite-size chocolate that comes in a mini box! Easy to bring anywhere with you and yummy to eat~ I only wish there was more!!

Marukawa Fusen Bubble Gum
"Marukawa Fusen Bubble Gums are delicious and fruit flavored."
I remember eating these when I was younger! These little spheres of gum are quite small, but they are initially very tasty~ The only thing is that these gums lose their flavour quickly and I find it hard to blow bubbles with ><

Dorayaki Japanese Hotcake

"Dorayaki Japanese Hotcake is a traditional and popular Japanese sweet snack and dessert."
I love Dorayaki!! This Dorayaki had a red bean paste filling which was yummy and sweet ♡. I've never eaten pre-packed dorayaki before, so I was worried it would have tasted weird and dry, but surprisingly the Doryaki was still fluffy, moist and delicious~

Yaokin Sour Paper Candy
"Yaokin Sour Paper Candy is a super thin slice of sour candy"
This was really yummy! It was one of my favourite items from the whole candy box~ The texture is similar to sour straps. The candy is actually quite sweet, the sour taste is quite minimal and i tastes like coke!

Popin' Cookin' : Neri Candy Land DIY Kit
"With Popin’ Cookin’ Neri Candy Land DIY Kit you can create colorful animals and other characters from delicious candy material."
I had a lot of fun playing with this! It was interesting to play around with the candy and make different colours by mixing colours together as well as creating your own shapes & designs~
The taste wasn't too bad! It was very sweet though.

  3. I saw many kits in the mart, like in the last picture. And it reminds me funny story from last month. We were standing in the mart with my boyfriend and watching the price of kits, which was over 5,000 won and we were thinking like, who would buy it for that price? Then a little boy with his mom passed behind us and boy mentioned: "look mom! I had this sushi kit last time!" We started to laugh. (´∀`)
