Style Korean Haul & Review

Hello my dears!

Have you guys been up to anything interesting lately?
I'll be going out shopping next week, so I'll be on the look out for some gifts to include in my extremely late blog anniversary giveaway~ Look out for the post soon!

My Grandma from Singapore just came over for a visit, and we've been watching "The Empress of China". It is a good drama, but omg. I did not realise it was over 80 episodes long..I don't think I can finish this! Fan Bing Bing is honestly #goals
♡( ૢ⁼̴̤̆ ꇴ ⁼̴̤̆ ૢ)~ෆ♡
I think she and Angelababy are my favourite chinese/HK models/actresses. They are so gorgeous!!

Today I'll be sharing with you a haul and a mini review of items I got from StyleKorean.com
Do you guys remember HonestSkin.com? HonestSkin has now been renamed and revamped to StyleKorean.com
The prices are still pretty reasonable (but shipping is still a little costly...) & they carry many korean cosmetic and skincare brands as well as some food items.

I'm excited to get this review & haul started! So continue scrolling to see~

BRTC :  Jasmine Water BB Cream
BB Cream [Link]
BB Cream for all Skin Types, especially for young and/or dehydrated skin. Containing Jasmine hydrosol and Blue Phyto Complex with anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties the BB cream rehydrates and protects dry, sensitive skin from further damage, while creating a soft and bright complexion.
Directions : Spread BB Cream evenly on your face after applying cream.
My Review : I haven't had a very good experience with BB creams before - they usually end up making my skin look grey(?!) or too white or super dry like the Sahara dessert. However! I think I have finally found a BB Cream that suits and works well on my skin ◟(๑•͈ᴗ•͈)◞
This BB cream has SPF 30 and claims to have brightening, moisturising & soothing effects - suited for dry and sensitive skin.

It only comes in one shade with slight pink undertones - which is supposedly a "universal" beige tone, suited to most skin tones.
I quite like this BB cream as it is lightweight and moisturising. As well as this, the colour suits my skin tone well and it has a light coverage - I find that it is perfect for me.

Innisfree : No Sebum Mineral Pact
Powder Pact [Link]
A sebum absorbing oil control powder pact for fresh and soft skin.
Directions : In the last stage of your daily skincare or makeup routine, use the powder puff to gently apply onto entire face or sebum concentrated areas.
My Review : Love. This is literally my favourite oil controlling powder in compact form. Check out my full review here! I guess in a way this pact is a little better that the powder as it is less messy to use & it even has an in built mirror - perfect for when you need to touch up your makeup. ٩(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و

Holika Holika : Pig Nose Clear Black Head 3 Step Kit
3 Step Kit to Clear Black Heads [Link]
This is a 3 step kit perfect for pore control. The first step opens your pores which allow for removing blackheads easily. The second step removes blackheads. The third step minimises pores.
Directions : After cleansing, place Step 1 on nose for 15-20 minutes. Remove it slowly and wipe off any blackheads or impurities from pores. Wet nose with water and place Step 2 on nose. After 10-15 minutes slowly remove from the edges. Finally apply Step 3 on nose. Remove after 10-15 minutes and gently tap it for better absorption.
My Review : Step one has a nice fresh scent to it. I'm not quite sure what it smells like (maybe soap?) but it's not to strong. I think it had a slightly cooling effect to it and there is alot of product! So don't forget to use it all! This step is to open up your pores.
The second step is where you wet your nose and apply the strip. As the 15 minutes passes, the strip dries/hardens up and you have to peel it off from the edges. Of course it hurts a little when you pull it off, but the results are amazing! The third step also has an initial cooling effect. The strip is a little slimy - so be careful when putting it on. It left my nose feeling very smooth and soft.
I found the kit to be ok-ok. I've read other reviews of it in the past, and when other people use it, you can really see black heads and white heads on the "step 2" when removed from your skin. In my case, I have these stubborn black heads on the side of my nose, that refuse to be removed - no matter what type of black-head removal mask I use! Overall, the mask managed to get most of my black heads out, but I'm still yet to find a mask that will rid me of my stubborn side blackheads.

Innisfree : Canola Honey Lip Balm
Lip Balm [Link]
A moisturising lip balm that creates a moisture layer to prevent dry lips.
Directions : Apply frequently to dry lips.
My Review : I don't know if it's due to the change of season or just simply the fact that my lips are dry - but yeah, my lips have been dry, especially on the edges, lately.
This lip balm has a slightly heavier scent than usual lip balms - it has a sweet honey scent (like honey mixed with something else?) Before trying this lip balm, I was using the "intensive moisture" version from the same range from innisfree - and I can say that they both are very moisturising and do they job well! btw. it does apply colourless! ♡

VDL : Tint Bar Triple Shot #601 Triple Peach
Triple coloured Lip Tint [Link]
It's a tint, lip-balm and base in one. This innovative triple coloured tint coats, treats and colour lips for a bright and voluminous look in just a single sweep of the stick.
A triple coloured tint that creates petal-bitten gradient effect looks with a single touch.
Directions : 1. For Voluminous Gradient Lips - Place base colour on the outer lip line and the main colour on the inner lip. Glide the product sideways along lips to create and enjoy the most voluminous and gradient lips.
2. For Long Lasting Milky Coloured Lips - Place all three sections of the lipstick vertically on the lips. Glide the product sideways along the lips. The three colours will mix together - creating beautiful, milky coloured lips.
My Review : I absolutely love how this is so compact and it colours as well as moisturises my lips in one go! A+ for efficiency ٩( ˃́▿˂̀ )۶
The lip tint/balm has 3 colours : the Main colour, Sub colour and Base colour.
The Main colour is enriched with royal jelly extract and is the colour layer which brightly stains lips while being moisturising - to help prevent lips from drying and chapping.
The Sub colour has lightly tinted balm conditions and helps to blend the colours onto your lips for a natural, gradient effect.
The Base colour blends the colours to the lip line, to even out the colours while nourishing discoloured, dry lips and creating a smooth, even base. This prevents feathering and creates a purer, lasting colour effect.
Overall I really like this triple coloured lip tint, it is not only moisturising, but the colour is beautiful and it lasts for a while!

Too Cool For School : Perfect Day Makeup Fixer
Makeup Fixer [Link]
Long lasting fixer is applied by a fine spray mist to ensure a light and even application to give long lasting power to makeup whilst moisturising and refreshing the skin. Keeping skin fresh, this multi-fixer is suitable for all skin types. With lemon balm, olive leaf extract and vegetable moisturising ingredients to help control excess sebum and keep skin healthy and moist.
Directions : Shake well before suing and spray evenly, 20cm away from skin.
My Review : With the hot aussie weather on its' way, I found a perfect day to test out the makeup fixer. I had no idea what to expect, but the makeup fixer sprayed a very light and moisturising mist - similar to normal water mists. It had a light and fresh scent.

Mediheal : N.M.F Aquaring Ampoule Mask
Moisturising Face Mask [Link] [Link]
N.M.F = Natural Moisture Factor
The Mediheal N.M.F Aquaring Ampoule Mask has a water system of Natural Moisture Factor that helps to provide abundant moisture to your skin. The thirst of dry skin is resolved though active water systems such as Hyaluronic acid, Ceramide and more in the N.M.F.
Directions : After cleansing even out skin using a toner. Take the mask and place the sheet on your face. Rest comfortably for 10-20 minutes and remove the mask. Remove the mask and let the skin absorb the remaining essence by gently patting the skin.
My Review : I just tried out the original N.M.F Aquaring Ampoule Mask and I must say - there is a lot of product (essence) in a single mask pack! I am impressed! The mask itself is a standard sheet mask and I did find it to be very hydrating for my skin. I used this at night, and the next morning my skin felt hydrated and smooth~
Next up is for me to try the "upgrade version" :D I have high hopes for it! (๑•͈ᴗ•͈)

Banila Co. : Prime Primer Photo Layer Powder in Naked Peach
Powder Primer [Link]
Directions : After base makeup, apply a moderate amount on the puff and apply over face lightly. Apply by tapping lightly, especially on areas with lots of sebum - such as your T-zone.
My Review : The packaging of this powder primer is so beautiful!!! The product includes a puff and a lot of product!
The great thing about the packaging is that you can close the holes by twisting the sides of the pot - this helps to keep the product clean and to keep the powder from spilling out when you are not using it. The primer itself is light and has a subtle shimmer to it. Apply this after your skincare or your base makeup [before foundation!]. The primer also helps to control sebum and to create a nice base before your foundation.

  1. Nice haul :) and it was nice that you included a mini review for each item! I love the No Sebum Mineral Pact from Innisfree too, but the cushion sponge got all nasty from my oily face that I had to throw it away :(

haha don't worry! all the cushion puff things always end up getting dirty and discoloured - but half the time I end up using brushes to use the product anyways~ (๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)

  9. YAS I saw that "Empress on China" was also on Netflix so I clicked it, but didn't finish it because it was the short version, but I also don't have time for 80 eps, SMH. Fan BingBing is totes goals, though *-*
The jasmine BB cream sounds pretty good though! Still want to try the Innisfree powder--maybe I'll pick it up in Korea? Also, totally irrelevant, but a genius (and gross) thing I discovered and started doing: when peeling off my pore strip, I like to slowly peel it off while looking in a magnifying mirror just to see THE GROSSNESS UP CLOSE. I don't know if other people do this too, but yeah, pretty cool u.u
